This is the correct washer for the “Taptite” screw that retains the mesh screen on the 1969-1973 twin-leading shoe front brake plate.
The small washer is fitted under the head of the 21-0650 screw, which retains the gauze screen to the front brake plate on the BSA and Triumph twin-leading brake drum.
The washer protects the finish of the gauze brake plate screen as the screw is tightened down. Measures .375″ OD and .032″ ID. There are (3) washers required for fitting the screen.
Fitment for 1969-1973:
- BSA B25, B44, A50, A65, and A75
- Triumph TR25W, T100, TR6, T120, and T150
The washer is placed under the screw head and helps minimize friction when the screw is tightened.
Note: correct part number for these is 70-2351 (E2351) but 1969 parts book mistakenly lists them as F2351 (82-2351).
