The 150 mph grey-faced speedometer is a replica of the Smith’s SSM 5001/05 and SSM 5001/06 instruments, and is compatible with 1.25:1 speedometer drive gearboxes.
Suitable for:
- 1967-1970 BSA A50, A65
- 1968-1969 BSA A75
- 1967-1970 Triumph TR6, T120 models
- 1968-1969 Triumph T150
The speedometer is a Smith’s SSM 5001/05 and SSM 5001/06 replica. Must be paired with a 1.25:1 or 15/12 speedometer drive gearbox. Note that the SSM 5007/00 replica is 1/4″ taller than the original Smith’s instrument.
The speedometer is driven by the speedometer drive gearbox on the rear wheel that is coupled to the instrument with a rotating inner cable.
The speedometer is mounted in a rubber cup on the BSA models, and hard-mounted to a bracket on the Triumph models. The cable is threaded to the instrument’s receptacle with a knurled nut. The other end of the cable is threaded into the speedometer drive gearbox.
