BSA and Triumph Conical Hub Fork Top Nuts 97-4258
These fork top nuts are of the one-piece design that was originally used on the 1971-1972 oil-in-frame 650 models, 750 triples, and BSA B50. They are zinc plated and feature the shallow recess on the top of the nut for the decal.
Beautifully zinc-plated original condition BSA and Triumph Conical Hub Fork Top Nuts 97-4258 for 1971-1972 Triumph and BSA conical-hub forks. 20 TPI threads. Made in the UK by LF Harris to fit 1971-1972 BSA and Triumph 650 and 750 models along with 1971-1972 BSA B50.
The one-piece fork top nuts have the extended tip to locate the internal spring. They are tightened down using a large spanner and seal the fork oil in the fork tube and secure the instrument mounting brackets.
BSA and Triumph Conical Hub Fork Top Nuts 97-4258 sold in pairs, replaces OEM PN# 97-4258 97-4395 & 97-4387 and yes, these do replace both the inner and outer fork top nut on disc brake Triumph forks for a cleaner and easier installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: These top fork nuts are 20 TPI with thread OD 1 3/16th” (1.187″). Check the TPI of your forks before purchase to ensure fitment of these top nuts. See recommend links for a thread pitch gauge.
