The chrome side panel motif plate is the backing panel for the distinctive embossed name plate decal that designates the Tiger 750 or Bonneville 750 models on the Triumph 750 twins from 1973-1978.
This chrome-plated motif plate is sourced from LF Harris in the UK. The sturdy metal plate features a slight bend, or crown in the middle of the plate for contouring with the side panel and airbox cover.
The plate spans across the side panel and airbox cover on each side of the airbox assembly, secured by 2BA screws into the nuts behind the panels. The face of the plate has a recess to properly locate the motif.
Removal of the motif plate is required to access the airbox for air filter replacement. The retaining screws are removed and the plate can be withdrawn and refitted as necessary.
