Unique to the Triumph 750 single-carburetor TR7 models, this rubber connector links the carburetor inlet to the airbox assembly. Not suitable for use with the early oil-in-frame 650 models from 1971-1972.
Sourced from the UK, the molded rubber airbox connector features heavy-duty construction while remaining pliable for easier fitment. ID measures approximately 46mm for fitment to the Amal 900 series of carburetors.
The rubber connector is the nexus between the carburetor inlet tract and the airbox assembly. The air connector ensures filtered air is supplied to the carburetor as the mounting flange is captured between the halves of the airbox body and the round inlet hose seals against the carburetor adaptor ring and can be secured with a clip.
Fitting the connector requires patience as it is sometimes difficult to achieve alignment due to very limited working space. In some cases, loosening the carburetor nuts to the manifold studs allows slight movement of the carburetor to aid in manipulation of the connector to gain fitment. A rubber lubricant such as P-80 can also be useful for fitment to the airbox assembly.
