The brake caliper is the heart of the brake system on the Triumph models using disc brakes.
This brake caliper features a light alloy body that saves weight over the original cast-iron caliper. The reproduction Girling caliper offers an upgrade from the original Lockheed caliper. They weigh a feathery 1lb 15oz compared to the original cast iron lump at 4lb 7oz!
The caliper is fitted to the fork lower, in the front wheel position. Also is used on the rear wheel, where it is mounted to a bracket. Once installed, a thorough bleeding procedure must be performed

Note: while these are replacements for the original ap calipers fitted to triumph motorcycles, they are not OEM reproductions. Body castings are different and as such these may require fettling and mounting modification depending on your application. Additionally, the stock front brake chrome covers will need modification to fit over this caliper on T140 twins.
