The correct pushrod tube and seal arrangement is essential to having an oil-tight top end and proper crush on the cylinder head gasket when the head is torqued to the recommended specifications. Suitable fitment for the 1969-1971 Triumph 500 models.
This chrome-plated pushrod tube measures 3.415″ from the top of the O-ring shoulder to the base of the tube, while the overall length is 4″. Made in the UK.
The current reproduction C-range pushrod tube now features the updated design replacing the previous castellated crown. The oil holes should align with the oil troughs in the valvetrain pockets on the cylinder head to properly divert oil from the rocker box cavity to the tappet guide block.
The rocker box and cylinder head must be removed to access the pushrod tube. Be prepared to replace seals and gaskets upon reassembly. The correct torque specifications must be observed when refitting the cylinder head. Refer to the factory workshop manual for installation procedures.
