T120 Front Mild Steel Wire Stay 71-72 PN# 97-4271
- 1971-1972 Triumph TR6R T120R
- 1971 Triumph T150Â
With the new Triumph and BSA oil-in-frame models for 1971, a major restyling took place. The new front-end arrangement included the fixed wire stay mudguards, which incorporated a revised mounting system to the alloy lower fork legs. The same fork was also used on the 1971-1972 BSA A75 and Triumph T150. Can be fitted to oil-in-frame BSA A65 and A75 models when a painted finish is preferred.
This is the updated short unfinished mild steel front mudguard with the fixed wire stays, including the center vertical braces, as specified for the US-market 1972 Triumph TR6R and T120R models, which featured painted mudguards. Tip to tip measurement is approximately 22″. Genuine Speedwell manufactured in the UK.
This fender is handmade and supplied without a finish. Some prep work will be required prior to painting and installing. The front mudguard provides protection for the rider and the motorcycle from the elements and serves as a fork brace, stabilizing the front fork during cornering and hard braking.
The fender stays are clamped to mounting brackets on the fork lowers with rubber bushings. Removal of the front wheel eases the installation of the mudguard.Â
