The tubeless type tire can be used with an inner tube on vintage rims, as specified on 1970s British motorcycles The bias construction replicates the handling characteristics of the previous Roadrunner and Roadrider MK1 tires. Norton riders prefer the Avon Roadrider as the most available all-around performance tire in the 19″ size.
Tire replacement requires special tools and a considerable physical strength when removing and refitting to the rim. Tire replacement is often best left for a tire service shop with automated equipment and balancing capabilities.
