This valve guide is specific to the 1971 and 1972 A65 and A70 models. Valve guide condition is important to the proper function of the valvetrain and must not be excessively worn.
This C630 valve guide can be used in the inlet or exhaust position. This valve guide is manufactured by KPMI in the US and available in standard and +.002 Oversize. Oversize guides are called for when the hole in the head becomes distorted or oversized.
The valve guide is an interference fit and pressed into the bore in the cylinder head. The guide usually requires reaming to achieve correct clearance with the valve stem.
