Steering stem nut is the correct fitment to the 1971-1972 BSA & Triumph models.
Steering stem nut id threaded onto the steering stem and secures the fork stem to the top fork yoke.
The pinch bolt on the top fork yoke is tightened once the steering stem nut is threaded and adjusted to the correct preload on the steering bearings.
