This replacement belt is original equipment for use with the Aerco Belt-Drive kits specified for use on unit-construction Triumph 650 models. The Megapower2 design ensures superior dynamic peformance, more transmittable power and excellent dimensional stability.
Manufactured in Italy for Megadyne, the belt is 25mm wide, 800mm long, with 80 teeth and an AT 10mm belt pitch. The thermoset polyurethane construction allows for use in wet or dry applications, although it is recommended to run in oil for street use. Direct replacement belt for our TBS-BELT02 and TBS-BELT03 belt-drive kits.
In a primary drive motorcycle application, the belt is driven by the front crankshaft pulley and supplies power to the clutch drum pulley. Many performance-oriented Triumph engines are equipped with lightweight and durable belt-drive systems.
The front pulley must be removed from the crankshaft to fit the belt over the clutch drum and onto the non-shouldered side of the drive pulley. A new primary cover gasket is recommended when servicing the primary drive.
