The KPMI Black Diamond inlet valve features a special finish that greatly reduces wear. Available in standard and oversize head diameters to accommodate variances in valve seat condition.
The Black Diamond inlet valve is available for most Triumph 650 and 750 applications. Made in the USA of the finest materials available and machined to the highest standards.
The KPMI valves are fitted to the valve guides, where a specific clearance is specified. The valves and valve springs are retained with cups, collars, and split collets.
The valves require lapping-in to make a proper seal at the valve seat. A valve spring compressor is required to install the valve and valve springs.
From Kibblewhite all KPMI Black Diamond™ stainless steel valves are impregnated by a special German process to a depth of .002”, with a surface build up of .0002”. This “black diamond®” process improves wear properties, reduces friction, and provides resistance to corrosion and wear that is superior to chrome and nickel electrolysis plating. Each valve is designed using finite element analysis software, and profiles are tested on our computerized flow bench. Black diamond® valves are light, strong, one piece forgings with profiles that provide excellent flow characteristics.
