The countersunk screws are prone to damage to the shallow slots during removal and are recommended to be replaced any time the sprocket door is removed.
The 2BA x 3/8″ screw is a countersunk type. This set contains 6 screws to complete fitment of the clutch door to the inner primary. Fitment is appropriate for all unit-construction BSA and Triumph singles and twins except Triumph T20.
The screws fit into the countersunk holes on the sprocket door, which requires removal to access the countershaft sprocket. The sprocket door is sealed with a gasket.
The screws are inserted through the countersunk holes in the sprocket door into the inner primary wall. Thread lock compound should never be used on these screws.
