The correct clutch center washer is important as it forms an abutment for the clutch nut to bear against when tightened.

The washer is hardened to withstand the force imposed by the high torque value applied to the nut to draw up the clutch assembly on the mainshaft. Made in the UK.

The nut is placed into the recess of the clutch center and forms the abutment for the clutch securing nut to bear against. The nut is then fully tightened to the specified torque value.
