P-80 Emulsion rubber lubricant is an essential product for anyone servicing and rebuilding vintage motorcycles. Used in many applications, this emulsion fluid eases the installation of engine and gearbox oil seals, as it provides a high degree of lubricity when wet, but once dry, the slipping action diminishes.
Made in the US by IPC, P-80 is a biodegradable blend of synthetic esters and water. A small amount of product effectively eases the installation of hoses, grommets, oil seals, o-rings, pushrod tube seals, seat buffers, handlebar grips, and many other rubber parts.
Rubber’s non-slip quality can make an assembly process difficult. P-80 Emulsion provides temporary lubrication that makes rubber easy to install, remove, or otherwise manipulate.
A small amount of product is smeared on the rubber prior to fitment of the seal or grommet, then the part is pressed into place. Once the P-80 is dry, it helps retain the rubber part.
