Made in the UK by TJ Wassell, these premium-quality chrome silencers are suitable for a restoration and measure 26-3/4″ overall and have an inlet diameter of 1-3/8″.
Silencers are necessary for maintaining a reasonable reduction of decibels. A properly constructed exhaust system with some level of backpressure will scavenge spent exhaust gases from the cylinder head to create a vacuum that draws in the fuel-air mixture more efficiently.
The muffler inlets are fitted over the 1-3/8″ ends of the exhaust header pipes and secured with clamps. The silencers feature integrated mounting bosses for direct mounting to the individual left and right hangers. It is advisable to loosen the exhaust system while fitting the silencers to allow for adjustments prior to tightening down the hardware.
