The knurled nut is designed to lock down the seat tabs onto the upper shock mounting bolt, thus securing the seat to the frame.
This nut is a circular knurled knob made of polished alloy.
The knob is threaded onto the special upper shock mounting bolt and uses two lipped washers to help reduce friction when hand-tightening the knob onto the bolt.
