This black ribbed seat is correct for the Norton Commando Roadster models from 1971-1972. May be suitable fitment for other Commando models through 1974 but is not compatible with the 1975 MK3 model.
The correct pleated or “ribbed” top pattern and gold Norton logo identify this seat cover as an authentic reproduction for the 1971-1972 Roadster models. The seat features a pillion strap, and a wide chrome inlaid trim strip. Made in the UK.
Pre-MK3 Commando seat pans have hooked stays that are aligned with the special suspension unit top bolts and are secured with a knurled knob on each side.
The simple, straightforward design allows the stays on each side of the seat to be retracted from the collared upper shock mounting bolts when loosened.
