The dual seat is a prominent part of the restored motorcycle, and the seat cover should be finished in the correct pattern and color. This black-top cover features a smooth black top with white piping encircling the top of the cover and a black skirt. Correct for the 1962-1965 early unit-construction BSA twins, although can be fitted to the 1966 models.

Made in the UK, this dual seat is a premium reproduction suitable for a restoration. There is no BSA logo on the rear of the seat.

The rear of the seat is attached to the rear frame with bolts and spacers and a forked saddle fits into a locating brace that is located under the front of the seat pan. The seat must be unbolted to lift off the rear frame.

The forked tabs under the front of the nose of the seat are located on the frame’s cross brace, then the seat can be lowered into place so the threaded bosses on the seat pan are aligned with the mounting tabs on the rear frame loop. Once the correct alignment is established, the bolts can be inserted upwards through the tabs and tightened, securing the seat to the rear frame section.
