This tachometer is a reproduction of the original RSM 3003/01 3:1 drive ratio grey-faced instrument.
Specific 3:1 drive ratio for BSA twins fitment. This reproduction gauge is 1/4″ taller than the original Smith’s tachometer.
Suitable fitment for 1965-1969 BSA models A50 and A65.
The tachometer monitors engine speed and is driven by a cable.
The tachometer is mounted to a bracket on the top yoke of the fork, usually fitted into a rubber cup. Due to the extra height of the unit, it will protrude above the rubber cup when fitted.
