The upper fork rubber sealing washer helps seal out debris from entering the inside of the fork gaiters.
It is a large thin rubber washer that is supported by a flat steel washer.
The rubber washer is held in place by a flat steel retainer under the lower fork yoke.
The fork tubes must be removed from the fork yokes to fit the rubber sealing washer and the accompanying steel retaining washer.
