tool can be used for not only fork top nut applications, but in some cases for countershaft sprocket nut removal and installation. The 6-point box ends offer positive engagement with fork top nuts without risking damage from slipping off of the flats on the nuts.
Fork service details are found in the workshop manuals for the models that this tool applies to. A protective cover for the petrol tank, such as a thick towel is recommended when removing or installing fork top nuts. Extra care must be taken when removing fork top nuts from internal spring forks.
