This adaptor tool is used to tighten and loosen the (2) central 5/16″ socket head cylinder head bolts on a Triumph 750 twin. Allows for the use of a conventional torque wrench with its hex head. This reproduction of the 61-7010 tool is an essential addition to the toolbox of any Triumph 750 owner.
Manufactured from hardened steel, this adaptor tool has an allen key end to fit into the socket head of the bolt, with a hex head to fit the appropriate socket on a 3/8″ drive torque wrench. The height of the adaptor allows for the necessary clearance to use the torque wrench without interference with the rocker boxes in situ.
The inner head bolts require torquing to specification after the cylinder head has been re-fitted to the cylinder barrel. It is also recommended to re-torque the bolts after the engine has been run through several heat cycles. This convenient adaptor tool makes the job easy.
Refer to the factory workshop manual for details on cylinder head bolt tightening sequence and torque specifications.
