The pair of 28mm Evolution carburetors are for intended for use on twin carburetor applications, where 1-1/16″ or 28mm bore manifolds are fitted. They are supplied with 3.0 throttle valves, .106 needle jets, and 180 main jets. These carburetors can be set up for various applications with changes to the slide cutaways and main jets.
The 1959-1963 Triumph T120 and 1967 T100R models were originally fitted with 1-1/16″ bore Amal 376 Monoblocs, making them ideal candidates for the Evolution 28mm carburetor set, when absolute originality is not a factor. The 1962-1965 Norton Dominator and 1959-1961 Royal Enfield Constellation models also could be set up with twin 28mm Evolution carburetors.
The mounting flanges are fitted to the inlet manifold studs and secured with nuts. The banjo fittings at the bottom of the float bowls are retained with special bolts that allow introduction of fuel into the float bowls. Supplied with choke assemblies.
