The upgraded Kibblewhite pushrod set of (4) includes both intake and both exhaust pushrods. Lightweight and stiff, these pushrods are made to exacting standards and are a favorite amongst high-performance engine builders and racers.
The pushrods are constructed from high strength thin-walled chrome molybdenum and hardened high-tensile steel ends. The exhaust pushrods measure 7.300″ in overall length, while the inlet pushrods are 8.150″ overall. Made in the US.
The pushrods are the link between the cam followers, or tappets, and the rockers. It is essential that flexing of the pushrods is minimal for the valvetrain to function correctly, especially at high engine speeds. Chrome-moly is an ideal steel alloy to provide the balance between light weight and strength in a high-stress part, such as a pushrod.
The cylinder head assembly must be removed to access the pushrods. The pushrods are of differing lengths and are specific to inlet and exhaust applications. Careful attention must be paid to closely follow the Norton workshop manual instructions.Â
