BSA offered this grab rail in three versions, with different spacing of the mounting tabs on the lower rail. This version is suitable fitment for the 1967-1970 A50 and A65 twins.
Featuring heavy-duty construction and chrome plating, the measurement from the mounting tabs to the forward stay mounts is approximately 5″ on centers. Made in the UK by TJ Wassell.
The grab rail is used when lifting the motorcycle onto its main stand and is also useful for carrying small parcels or for the pillion rider to grasp while riding two-up.
The forward stays are mounted to the upper shock absorber bolts, while the central mounting tabs on the lower rail are attached to the rear support rail. In some cases, the slotted forward stays may require light filing to assure correct alignment with the shock mounting bolts.
